June 10, 2004 -- Kingsley Community Primary School & Mansour Bahrami - at noon in Kingsley Road, Iranian tennis star Mansour Bahrami will give tennis lessons to children from the Kingsley Community Primary School - just across the street from the Liverpool Habitat for Humanity current housing project. Bahrami and the children will be joined by the Revd Dr Shannon Ledbetter, Chair of Liverpool Habitat for Humanity (LHFH), members of her Board and Fr Peter Morgan from St Bernard's RC Church (adjacent to the land on which 32 homes will be built).

Habitat Tennis Legends Dinner - also on Friday, Habitat will host a sold out gala VIP charity dinner at the SAS Radisson Hotel. Tennis Legends will meet guests and help with an auction to raise funds for Habitat's Granby Toxteth Project. Entertainment is being provided by the fabulous vocal talent Thomas Lang and "International Blues Singer of the Year" Connie Lush.

Both events will help celebrate the diverse community of the Granby Toxteth area, providing an opportunity to show how diverse cultures and faiths may be brought together through sport, children, civic leaders and local businesses.

Anders Borg, Director of Northern Vision, says of the day, "we are pleased to be partnering with Liverpool Habitat for Humanity hoping to raise significant funds for this worthwhile charity and to show that through tennis and the aims of LHFH we are one, big happy family."
